When LDS missionaries landed on my doorstep, a four year journey began. I kept in touch with a few of them. A few years later, one of the missionaries came out to me. He’s now happily married to another Mormon but they have obviously left the church. You can still be a practising, devoted Christian. Other denominations are now more welcoming of us. Don’t give up! Connor, it’s been a long time since you posted this, but I just came across it. You are an amazing person, who you are. You sound so honest, sincere and sweet. I only wish I had the courage you do, when I was your age. I know how hard it is. You are who you are, when you’re born. It’s not a choice people. So many can’t understand that. You take care and be strong. You are a beautiful soul.

Too bad Connner got conned and slid down the rabbit hole. He may have a different world view now some years later than what I saw on his vlog dating back into BLM rioting and the like. Each generation needs time to absorb life fully sans the current disdain of previous generations. Not until you've lived long enough to watch the next couple of generations react to their angst of the time in which they are developing thoughts will one so young know what to really feel about life. Conner, I hope your life has settled into something not so sad and desperate.

Im having a hell of a hard time myself. 15 years of dispair since my first realization of how i felt and still feel. My parents are LCMS. I sincerely believe the bible is the word of God. But i also know that i never chose this. And denying this part of me and remaining lonely and celebate, never having someone who i can share my world and love with, will end up killing me one way or another.

So I came out to my super Christian family just a weeks ago! I'm 36 could continue to live my life without letting them know who I am! I can't be a good Christian and not live my truth. I want you to know that you should keep the faith even if you are going through pains and struggles so hot I went through them to but I know it’s like that we’re not meant to understand everything I want the Bible talks about. All you have to do is keep the faith trust in God and pray and meditate and focus on God‘s word you read the inspired word of God which means the Bible. But that does not mean that you need to run the other way don’t be an atheist They have no morals and don’t let your own self doubt to cloud your mind all you have to do is keep the faith and pray and meditate on God‘s word what does Jesus. And the written word of God the bible and I want you to know that that God loves you either way even if you have pain Stahl call aunt to the Lord and he will show you the Way and it was said in the Bible that Jesus Christ said I am the way the truth and the life nobody comes too far except through me just keep the faith you don’t have to go to church to pray to God you don’t need to follow religion nor you don’t have to be religious to prove yourself to God you don’t have to prove anything so either you are gay so why why should that matter to God or me And I am more than happy to let you know God loves you for who you are from the inside your heart and who you are as a person and a zone in virtuality you are a child of God don’t let you want to come into the girls know God because there’s always been a God God has always been here before us keep the faith

I'm sure you probably think I talk too much but most of my life I have been so introverted because of severe child abuse and then at 18 chronic severe hopeless pain. The last few years I have been on Lyrica which helps better than any pain killers to keep me calm. My true extrovert personality comes through and I find myself now telling my life story to strangers in line at a grocery store. I'll talk to anyone and most people tell me they are amazed that despite lifelong adversity I have such a positive attitude.

I agree with you with so much of what you say. I really do love all people ,, Christian love,, even ones who have used or abused me. I believe what Christ said that if we don't forgive others we are not forgiven and he who is without sin let him cast the first Stone. Also Christ said there is no marriage in Heaven,, there we are one big family the way it was meant to be here on earth. CONNOR, ,I fell in love with you when I saw your first video you're very sensitive and a deep thinker. Very handsome too. I really wish I wasn't in pain, I wasn't so ugly and I wasn't my age. When Christ said if you hate your life in this life you will love your life in the next , that's me. I try to make the best of things and stay positive most of the time. Sleep instantly increases my pain so when I get out of bed I never feel refreshed like normal people. It's usually about noon when my pain gets tolerable enough to do anything. My doctors tell me I have the health and body of a 20 year old. I guess because I had to do construction work instead of using my mind and I hoped that eating and living well could ease the pain. But there's no cure for nerve damage. I hope you're more fulfilled now and happier. Take care.

I’m gay and my coming out story wasn’t nearly as great as yours. In fact mine was completely disastrous. I really liked your video and you should be totally proud of yourself. Don't know if you got my comment. Still not too computer literate. I've always been attracted to both You are born that way and can't fight it. When I was 18 I had badly botched surgery that has left me in continuous severe pain. It cost me my degree at Berkeley and my life's goals. Because of this I pretty much keep to myself. I know what you're going through cause I'm strongly Roman Catholic and everything has brought me closer to God cause I know in the next life I will have total peace love and happiness I couldn't ever have in this life. I know your situation is different but in this life there may never be any real answers. I know you are suffering cause you have strong faith. Connor, I applaud your courage and honesty. As a former member of the Church, I know how hard this was. I came out as a questioner of the Church and a bi-sexual man 40 years ago, just before heading to the MTC to start my Mission. Love is Love and God doesn't make any mistakes. I later concluded that I am mostly Gay and the more I dug the more I found that the Church is all based on the lies of a con-man who created the LDS Scriptures from whole cloth. Live your life in any way that fulfills you and makes you happy. Find love and run with it. Wish I could just give you a big hug and let you know that you are your own special creation and you will continue to shine. All the best for your future wherever your journey takes you! You are loved.

God would never want anyone to suffer the way that you are obviously suffering. You've taken the first step up to the mountain of self-realization. You don't have to leave God behind, just the ideas Mankind puts in God's mouth. You say you struggled and prayed and hoped for an answer but got nothing. But nothing is the answer. There is nothing you have to do to obtain the love of everyone on earth, and the almighty as well.

I went on Mission and I know their stuff in the church is true but I am a gay man and I feel our place I know what you're going through do what's right in your heart everything will fall in place

70 here. You are young and hurting but just remember " IT GETS BETTER ", It took me 30 years of teaching gospel doctrine to finally give up on church. I wasn't looking for any relationship when I found my soul mate, It's been just like walking on air! Learn to love yourself, avoid self destructive behavior, remember the golden rule, treat everyone with love and respect. You do that and you can't go wrong!

You're not even free if you do it and don't want. Really commendable how in tune you are about it. I know I would have gone at this coming of age Good choice if you don't go after saying all this.

Just came across this video. Sorry you had to go through the things you did. Shakespeare wrote "To Thine Own Self Be True". Prior to the Christians coming to the American Continent homosexuality was accepted in most if not all of the the tribes. They called Two-Spirited. They were for the most part medicine men and respected by the elders of the tribe. The came the not so Christian missionaries who ruined their way of life by making them turn their backs on their religion amongst other things. You probably have heard this before there are Christians that don't believe in the Bible literally. There are those who believe that the Bible should be read metaphorically. It is my belief that a first century CE Christian was somehow transferred to the 21 Century CE, they would not recognize what is practiced as Christianity. First off Christ was not against drinking otherwise the first miracle would not turn water into wine. The Mormon Church I think would say that the wine of two thousand years ago was weaker than that of today. I lived in the middle east and know what happens to grapes if set out on a counter for a period of time... wine. There are many and many Christians who believe that homosexuality is not a sin. The Episcopal Church in the United States of America in the middle of the 1940's started silently letting the LGBTQ community into full communion of the church. In 1978 they codified that LGBTQ community was welcomed to the church. Now Lutherans, Presbyterians and others have been welcoming to the LGBTQ community. My prayer (I am a universalist) for you is that you will stay strong. Accept yourself for being who you are as without that nothing will happen when no healing can take place. Rev George
